Different Area, Same Hunt

DASH is a puzzle hunt that happens roughly annually in different areas on the same day. More info about DASH and its past hunts can be found on their website. Questions relating specifically to DASH Pittsburgh can be sent to DASHpgh [at] gmail [dot] com.

I brought Pittsburgh into the fold in 2018 during the 10th iteration of DASH which was entitled Deputies Allied to Secure Homesteads and was wild west themed. As a coordinator, my duties were to find locations where players can stop to complete puzzles, acquire any permissions or permits necessary for this, coordinate with main organizers about resources I needed to be mailed to Pittsburgh or purchased and reimbursed, organize puzzle materials into kits for each location, recruit volunteers to help day-of, and create a map and other resources for players. Below is the map of Tenderfoot Falls (East End Pittsburgh) from 2018.

DASH #11 occurred in Pittsburgh in 2019. That year I partnered with my pal Dillon to make it happen. He made the map for 2019 and did a great job!

DASH #12 has yet to occur since the COVID-19 pandemic occurred in 2020-2021.
