PuzzleHuntCMU

About PuzzleHuntCMU
PuzzleHuntCMU is a student organization at Carnegie Mellon University which promotes puzzle events and interests and also hosts a large-scale puzzle hunt event every semester. The organization was formerly known as KGB Puzzle Hunt. I was involved with the group from my second semester of undergrad (Spring 2009) until shortly after my graduation as an alumna in Spring 2014. While on Hunt Staff, I wrote and playtested puzzles, wrote plot and dialogue for cut scene type events, made posters and advertising materials, organized large orders of food, and sought out sponsorship from companies such as Facebook or Dropbox.

The Puzzle Hunt Event
The hunt is a one-day event where teams of 2-5 players compete to solve logic puzzles quicker than other teams such that they can be the first team to solve the meta puzzle (a puzzle which relies on previous puzzle answers) and be sent on the runaround (a physical trek to a plot point). Most of our hunts allow the use of a computer and the internet. They also incorporate interactive puzzles, social games, and complex plots which are a unique idiosyncrasy not found in many other puzzle hunts.

Logos
The organization eventually rebranded and adopted a new name. I designed a logo in various color schemes for the group to use.
